Move back Home

We have moved and started another Blog for our life in Scotland. You can still visit "Watts in Australia" and "Watts at Home" Blog sites.

Last week in Australia

Leaving Australia knowing we may never be back was very strange. We all had mixed feelings. Sad to be leaving Perth, with all it's attractions as well as new friends and colleagues yet glad to be heading back to familiar surroundings, old friends and family.
We will never regret moving to Australia, whatever the future may have in store and wish happiness and prosperity for all the people we met along the road.

K's last day at school. She loved school and made some great pals, including her teacher Mr. C.

40th Birthday Bash

Roy and Wendy had their combined 40th Birthday party at the weekend. It was 70s/80s fancy dress. Michael didn't need much persuading and kitted himself out in the best of polyester garments from yesteryear. It was going to be a Miami Vice white suit and T-shirt until he saw the psychedelic options. Yeah baby!
It was all good fun.

Note Michael's gay neck tie has become a headband after some ribbing from the boys!
Andy looks great in his dashing blue specs. What you can't see is his crushed velvet, royal blue flares. Sweet!

The Birthday couple.

Giant mushroom

Michael starts his new diet. Being restricted to 1 mushroom per day isn't as bad as it sounds, particularly when field mushrooms are the size of a bairn's heed! A mushroom omelette fills the frying pan easily.
Joking aside that's a bloomin' big mushroom!

Grease is the word

Kaitlyn was invited to a rollerskating disco with a "Grease" theme. She enjoyed dressing up in the big blonde wig and they had a great time at the party, although it did get off to a wobbly start. We just had the pocket cameras with us so the pictures from the disco were all too dark unfortunately.

Faulkner Park, Belmont

We have tried to visit a few parks recently and cross them off our to-do list before heading home. Faulkner Park is relatively small compared to some of the other parks but it has a few themes going on. A volcano takes pride of place in the middle of the park with a pirate ship, water spurts, toddlers area, bouncy mushrooms, etc. The volcano wasn't working when we visited but when it is the top lights up and smoke spews out every few minutes.

Where did I put my sunglasses?

Rockingham swing park

It's a public holiday (Foundation Day) so Kaitlyn has a day off school. We went for a drive down to Rockingham as it was a nice day and had a picnic near the beach. Kaitlyn amused herself afterwards at the nearby swing park.
