Mundaring Weir Hotel & Camel ride

Today we met up with friends at the Mundaring Weir Hotel, about an hour from Perth City. It's a nice place in the hills. It was overcast but still warm enough. Parrots were a pest if seated outside but kids had good fun, apart from Kaitlyn falling off a wall and bruising her leg. They had a proper spit roast if that took your fancy and a traditional stone oven for making pizzas but there was plenty to choose from on the menu.

After a nice meal and a cup of coffee we headed back home via a camel farm. Kids didn't seem too phased by them, as you can see below they even fed them. No way were the adults going anywhere near them.

K and friends, sitting 8ft off the ground and not caring a jot.

Can I have another camel ride? Please.....

King's Park - Synergy Playground

Kings Park has a lot to offer from Botanical gardens, wildlife, walks, kid's play areas, etc. Here's a few pics to give you a taste from Synergy playground, one small area in Kings Park. Getting cooler as we approach winter. Still >20°C in the day but cold in the morning and evening. Making the most of the good days before we head home.

Wii

Having held off for a long time we finally gave in and fell for a good deal at the city "EB Games" shop and purchased a Wii. Shame we didn't do it before now. Fun for all ages but provides plenty of exercise compared to other games consoles. K loves it. We all had a good laugh watching each other gritting teeth and thrashing the controller to maximise speed, throw longer, punch harder or whatever is required.

Ha Ha! I beat Dad at tennis. Na na na na na na!

All good fun
